Having played to more than 65 million people all over the world, CATS is one of the most popular musicals of all time. Now, 30 years after the sensational world premiere in London’s West End in 1981, it returns to delight audiences in cities around Germany, Austria and Switzerland – for the first time ever in a specially designed CATS theatre tent! The purpose-built theatre will be an impressive new home for the German language version of the original London production, and promises audiences a theatrical experience of the most immediate kind.
Nowhere else gets you closer to the thrilling, emotionally affecting story of CATS. Three quarters of the theatre tent’s large circular stage are surrounded by rows of seating, making you feel like you are right in the middle of the glittering gold junk yard where everything is happening. Not one of the 1800 seats is further than 20 metres from the stage. A truly spine-tingling experience.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s awe-inspiring music – especially his heartbreaking hit ‘Memory’, the magical set and stunning choreography all come together in the CATS theatre tent to re-create one of the greatest, most beautiful, most touching, moments in the history of musical theatre.
