Preliminary Round - Warsaw
The first phase of European Basketball Championships starts on 7th September and ends on 9th September. There are sixteen teams divided into 4 groups. Three best teams of each group advance to the next phase. Polish team plays in Wrocław and faces Lithuania, Turkey and Bulgaria. Warsaw will host Spaniards who are the current World Basketball Champions. They will confront Serbia, United Kingdom and Slovenia. The current European Basketball Champions – Russians – will compete with German and Latvian teams. The last competitor will be known just before EuroBasket starts when the additional preliminary round is finished. Teams from Greece, Croatia, Israel and Macedonia will face each other in Poznan. Come and see EuroBasket in Warsaw! The giants will be here! Group C (Warsaw)
