In the mid-19th century Vienna’s old city wall was replaced by the
boulevard which in conjunction with the Franz-Josefs-Kai now
forms a ring around the city centre. Magnificent buildings such as
the state opera house, the Hofburg, the parliament building, the
Vienna city hall, the Burgtheater, the university, the Vienna stock
exchange and numerous prestigious buildings line this splendid
boulevard.
The Vienna Ring tram connects to all these historic sites and
enables you to get on or off just as you wish at a total of 13 stops.
A multimedia system provides interesting information in seven
languages during the ride.
The Vienna Ring tram runs every half-hour every day from 10 am
to 6 pm, and in July and August to 7 pm.

Alla metà del XIX secolo, lungo il tracciato delle antiche mura
urbane nasceva l’elegante circonvallazione che assieme al Franz-
Josefs-Kai formava l’anello che tutt’ora circonda il centro storico
di Vienna. Ai lati di questo boulevard furono eretti man mano
fastosi edifici come la Staatsoper, l’Hofburg, il Parlamento, il
Municipio, il Burgtheater, l’Università, la Borsa e numerosi altri
palazzi rappresentativi.
Il Vienna Ring Tram collega oggi tutti quei siti monumentali, in
un continuo saliscendi fra le complessive 13 fermate del percorso;
e a bordo, un impianto multimediale fornisce informazioni interessanti
in sette lingue.
Il Vienna Ring Tram è in funzione tutti i giorni dalle ore 10 alle
ore 18, in luglio e agosto fino alle ore 19, a intervalli di 30 minuti.

A mediados del siglo XIX se construyó en el lugar ocupado anteriormente
por las murallas la fastuosa avenida que junto con el
paseo Franz-Josefs-Kai forma un anillo de circunvalación alrededor
del núcleo urbano central de Viena. A lo largo de esta avenida se
construyeron edificios suntuosos como la ópera „Staatsoper“, el
palacio real „Hofburg“, el Parlamento, el ayuntamiento o „Rathaus“,
