Son Lux, one of the most original acts in 21st-century electronic music, will return to Poland for three shows this March! The creators of songs like “Easy” and “Lost It To Trying”, as well as the soundtrack to “Everything Everywhere All at Once” will perform with brand new album on March 16th at Palladium in Warsaw, the following day at Tama in Poznań, and wrap up the short Polish run on March 18th at Kwadrat in Kraków.
Unconventional, boundary-pushing, inspiring - these are the words most often used to describe Son Lux. Founded nearly twenty years ago by Ryan Lott, the project was already hailed as a revelation upon the release of its debut album “At War with Walls & Mazes”, which earned NPR’s “Best New Artist” title. A defining breakthrough came in 2013 with the release of their third full-length album “Lanterns”, featuring standout singles “Lost It To Trying” and “Easy”.
Since the release of their fourth album “Bones”, Son Lux has operated as a trio, with Rafiq Bhatia and Ian Chang joining Lott and expanding the project’s already rich musical language. Today, the group is celebrated for its singular compositional vision, blending experimental arrangements with deeply immersive songwriting. In recent years, they received an Academy Award nomination for the soundtrack to “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, which featured guest appearances from Mitski, David Byrne, and André 3000, among others. They also composed the score for Marvel’s “Thunderbolts*” and are now set to release a brand new album.
Son Lux concerts in Poland have always drawn huge interest, and this March the trio will return for three special performances accompanied by mmeadows - the duo formed by Kristin Slipp, previously of Dirty Projectors, and Cole Kamen-Green, who has worked with Beyoncé on “Beyoncé” and “4”, as well as with Lorde on “Melodrama”.
