Spite and Emmure will join forces for a co-headline European tour in early 2027, bringing along Distant and Mauled for the ride. On February 6th, Warsaw’s Proxima will host a relentless night with barely a second to catch your breath.
It took Southern California’s Spite ten years to deliver five albums. On their latest release, 2025’s “New World Killer”, featuring guest appearances from members of Lorna Shore and Boundaries, among others, the band proved they are one of the leading forces in modern deathcore. Downtempo grooves collide with chaotic tempos, groove-heavy passages, and riffs that occasionally lean into thrash territory, all driven by Darius Tehrani’s nightmare-fueled vocals. Live, this is bound to hit like a wrecking ball, and there’s hardly a better way to start the year.
A few years ago, Revolver Magazine called Emmure “the most polarizing metal band since Limp Bizkit.” Has anything changed since then? Not really - and honestly, that’s beside the point. Frankie Palmeri and company still raise a middle finger to the world around them with the same conviction as always. Emmure has never been about complicated metaphors, but about raw honesty and passion channeled through an explosive blend of metalcore, nu-metal, and beatdown.
If Spite sit at the forefront of American deathcore, then Distant are their European counterpart. Formed by musicians from Rotterdam and Bratislava, the band merges dissonant deathcore with brutal death metal and beatdown influences. They’ve already sharpened their live reputation alongside names like Lorna Shore, Suicide Silence, and Decapitated. Their latest EP, “Rat Torture”, dropped on May 21st.
Opening this crushing evening will be Indianapolis newcomers Mauled, whose sound throws listeners straight back into the MySpace-era days of deathcore. Don’t expect clean choruses tailored for algorithms - on their latest EP, “When Your Eyes Are Shut”, the band grabs you by the throat from the very first second and refuses to let go.
