Dea Matrona bring together the very best of classic rock, indie, and pop - a blend you'll get to experience live on March 4th at Mello in Vilnius and the following day at Hydrozagadka in Warsaw.
Mollie McGinn and Orláith Forsythe first met while competing against each other in an Irish-language singing competition. Before long, they were spending their free time busking together on the streets of Belfast. Their cover of Fleetwood Mac's “Oh Well” quickly went viral, and soon after, the single “Make You My Star” topped the UK iTunes Rock Chart, leading to appearances at some of the biggest music festivals across the British Isles.
Dea Matrona released their debut album, “For Your Sins”, in 2024. Written, recorded, and produced in true DIY fashion, the album reached No. 1 on the UK Independent Albums Chart, earned the duo performances at Glastonbury and the Royal Albert Hall, and landed them support slots for Sting, Bryan Adams, Sheryl Crow, and The Darkness. Their brand-new album, “Hate That I Care”, has just been released, and Mollie and Orláith will bring its songs to Vilnius and Warsaw at the beginning of March.
