This autumn, Malta Festival invites you to Warsaw for one of the most exceptional cultural events of recent years. From September 18, 2026 to January 17, 2027 the Creative Industries Institute at 65 Mińska Street will host the exhibition “Tilda Swinton – Ongoing.” Following Amsterdam and Athens, the project arrives in Poland, taking on a new incarnation within the raw interiors of the former PAP printing house.
This is no ordinary retrospective or biographical exhibition, but a celebration of collaboration and creative dialogue. Renowned actress and style icon Tilda Swinton demonstrates that art is born from meaningful encounters. Spanning 1,000 m² a unique post-industrial, the exhibition brings together films, photographs and installations, blending archival material with new works by artists such as Pedro Almodóvar, Luca Guadagnino, Joanna Hogg, Derek Jarman, Jim Jarmusch, Olivier Saillard, Tim Walker and Apichatpong Weerasethakul.
Tilda Swinton is an Oscar and BAFTA winner, as well as the recipient of numerous prestigious film awards. She graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Social and Political Sciences. After her studies, she performed briefly in theater (including the legendary Royal Shakespeare Company) and after meeting Derek Jarman, she immersed herself completely in the world of cinema. For over four decades, she has remained one of the most distinctive personalities in contemporary film, collaborating with directors such as Wes Anderson, Sally Potter, Lynne Ramsay, Jim Jarmusch, Pedro Almodóvar, Joanna Hogg and Luca Guadagnino.
