Steel Panther take everything that’s best about glam rock and heavy metal, crank it up with absurd, all-American humor, and deliver it with such authenticity that it’s impossible to ignore. The band will return to Poland on June 23rd, performing at Progresja in Warsaw with support from Lucie Sue.
Steel Panther have been operating under their current name since 2008, though the foundations of the band date back to the early 2000s. They gradually built their reputation in Los Angeles by playing covers of Van Halen and classic hair metal acts, eventually mastering the genre they love. They proved it with their debut “Feel the Steel,” featuring guest appearances from Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), Justin Hawkins (The Darkness), M. Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold), and Scott Ian (Anthrax). Subsequent albums - “Balls Out,” “All You Can Eat,” “Lower the Bar,” “Heavy Metal Rules,” and their latest “On the Prowl” - have only reinforced their status as one of the most distinctive acts on the glam rock/heavy metal spectrum today. Their catchy, old-school sound paired with outrageous, turn-of-the-century American humor makes for an unforgettable live experience.
Lucie Sue is widely seen as one of the most promising names in French rock. She debuted in 2023 with “To Sing in French,” but it was last year’s “Battlestation” that caught the attention of international media. Blending ’90s alternative rock with elements of modern metal, her music is driven by raw energy and honesty. On the track “Ride the Wired Wild Tiger,” she is joined by Satchel, guitarist of Steel Panther, and this June she’ll be hitting European stages right alongside them.
