The Underground Youth powstało w 2008 roku jako jako twórczy projekt Craiga Dyera. Ten projekt
to mieszanka ciemnych, kinowych pejzaży dźwiękowych i surowej muzyki post-punk. Grupa
rozwinęła lojalną grupę fanów, która wciąż rośnie na całym świecie.
Od 2012 roku zespół stale podróżuje po całej Europie oraz reszcie świata, regularnie wyprzedając
koncerty i ciesząc się powszechnym uznaniem za występy festiwalowe.
Poprzez niezależną wytwórnię płytową Fuzz Club Records, TUY wydało 8 płyt, 3 EP-ki, Live
Session i 7-calowy singiel. Zespół otrzymał zarówno kultowe jak i krytyczne uznanie za wszystkie
wydania. Do tego czasu wszystkie ich albumy zostały wyprzedane, a tytuły zostały wznawiane.
Grupa przeniosła się z Manchesteru do Berlina przed wydaniem ósmego albumu "What Kind Of
Dystopian Hellhole Is This?”. Obecnie pracują nad swoim dziewiątym albumem.
W skład zespołu na żywo wchodzą obecnie Craig Dyer (wokal, gitara) Olya Dyer (perkusja) Max
James (gitara basowa) i Leonard Kaage (gitara).
