Step Inside His Life
Everyone knows Van Gogh: the Sunflowers, The Starry Night, the severed ear. But
beyond these iconic images lies a far more complex story. Vincent only began
painting at 27, after years searching for purpose as an art dealer and preacher.
In just ten years, he created over 2,000 works and left behind an extraordinary
correspondence with his brother Theo.
Presented at Bracka 13 in the heart of Kraków, Van Gogh & Vincent offers a fully
immersive journey through the places that shaped his life. Across 32 rooms
and 1,500 m2, visitors move through reconstructed environments — from the
Netherlands to Paris, Arles and Auvers-sur-Oise — each space revealing a
chapter of his story.
Curated by Wouter van der Veen and developed within the Van Gogh Academy,
the exhibition ensures the highest level of historical and scientific accuracy. It
also features a selection of “Museum Editions” — high-precision reproductions
developed by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam — offering a rare opportu-
nity to step inside the life behind the legend.
