Shoegaze, post-hardcore, and alt-rock form the foundation of Clarion’s sound. The band will perform on September 15th at Hydrozagadka in Warsaw! Clayknot will take the stage before them.
The members first met through the DIY scene in East Los Angeles and soon after started recording together. Anthony, Saya, and Joseph approached songwriting through intense three-day sprints, without overthinking the process and letting the songs take on a life of their own. The result is a fresh and energetic mix of shoegaze, indie, Japanese rock, and post-hardcore that immediately stands out.
TikTok quickly helped boost their profile - “Hello Juliet” from their debut EP went viral, opening the door to bigger stages early in the band’s career. Catchy melodies are at the core of what they do - just listen to this year’s release “Blue Fairy”, and you’ll instantly want to be right in front of the stage.
Clayknot is Paula Duduś’s solo project, sitting at the intersection of shoegaze, bedroom pop, and cinematic melancholy. Her songs are like an audio diary: emotional introspection colliding with alternative sounds, with ambiguity taking the place of a punchline. In May, she released her debut EP, “Spacer”.
Above all, Clayknot is STAR MATERIAL - anyone who’s seen her live already knows it! She has previously supported Kiwi and I Hate Myself Because, and has performed at Great September and Next Fest, among others. Before joining Clarion on stage, she will also perform at this year’s OFF Festival.
