Scientific and Training Conference
“Aspects of Mass Event Safety in Light of Current Threats”
The conference is a unique forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of mass event safety. The event combines a scientific perspective with practice, enabling participants to learn about the latest research, the analysis of current regulations, and discussions on their adequacy in the face of contemporary challenges.
A particular focus will be given to the Act on the Safety of Mass Events, which was created under different circumstances than today, and to considering the need for its amendment.
At the center of attention will be current security threats in Poland, including those resulting from human activity – such as terrorism, hybrid threats, cyberattacks, or social unrest – as well as natural hazards, including severe weather phenomena, extreme temperatures, or heavy rainfall, all of which may significantly affect the course of a mass event.
An integral part of the event will be a practical exercise addressed to those responsible for mass event security and representatives of state services. Its aim is to test the response and cooperation of the entities responsible for safety in the event of a threat and to assess the effectiveness of the existing procedures.
Participants will also be able to attend lectures and debates with experts – both from Poland and abroad. The presence of international guests will allow for a broader perspective on safety issues and the opportunity to learn about best practices used in other countries. An important element will also be the exhibition area, presenting innovative solutions supporting the organization and security of mass events.
The conference will take place in two prestigious venues – PreZero Arena Gliwice and the Silesian Stadium. The event has been granted the honorary patronage of the Minister of the Interior and Administration and the National Centre for Research and Development, which emphasizes its importance in shaping modern and innovative standards for mass event safety.
